WHO SAYS FLORALS ARE JUST FOR SPRING?

September 26, 2017

Would you believe me if I told you florals are very “in” for this fall season? Well, it’s true! I definitely believed that florals were only meant for spring or summer until probably the past month. As I was swiping through my Instagram, I noticed so many gorgeous floral dresses, tops and floral embroidered pieces were being worn by my favorite bloggers. I had no idea you could wear florals after summer! But hey, people wear white after labor day, including myself, so there really are no rules in fashion! At least there shouldn’t be. I love reading blog posts on what people are into at the moment, trend-wise, and over the past few weeks, I’ve read many posts talking about fall florals. I was like wow, okay, cool, I can continue to wear floral pieces into fall, woohooo!

So after I discovered fall florals were going to be a thing this year, I was so excited to break out my floral maxi to show you how you can style your own for fall! This dress I bought from a local boutique, but I have linked a few different options at the end of this post if you’re looking to purchase one. This dress has sadly sat in my closet since probably the last time I did a post on it, because I just simply have had nowhere to wear it to. I’ve been saving it for when I go wine tasting for the first time, so I’m hoping that happens sooner than later haha.

Dress: Callie Girl Boutique (similar here, here, here) | Booties: Nordstrom | Bag: Madewell | Watch: Daniel Wellington (Use code: LARKINS to get 15% off your purchase) | Necklace: Gorjana | Rings: Gorjana | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

The easiest way to turn your floral maxi into a fall-appropriate look is all in the accessories that you choose. I styled this dress with both my cognac Nordstrom booties and Madewell bag because that color tends to be a more fall color. I apologize for how many times I’ve used the word fall in this post. Depending on the color of your dress, styling a leather or jean jacket with your dress would easily do the trick as well. I think so many of your gals have booties, which is why pairing your dress and booties together would make it easy to transition that maxi into fall. You won’t even have to go out and buy any new pieces, which is the best-case scenario for all of us!

What summer pieces are you planning on wearing into fall?
