Easy Office Looks Style

BUSINESS CASUAL

June 7, 2017

I’ve been lagging in the “Easy Office Looks” blog posts category, so I dug around my closet to see if I had a look I could shoot for you guys! The main item I found was this blazer that I haven’t worn in over a year–not sure why! I bought this blazer right after I graduated college, because I needed an outfit for the interviews I was going on. I definitely didn’t want to spend a lot of money, so I headed to H&M and was pleasantly surprised at the huge selection they had dedicated to office clothes. I picked out this blazer, slacks, a button-up, and I nailed the interview and got the job! Flash forward two years later, and this blazer is nowhere to be found in my work wardrobe anymore. I’ve sadly become super casual at work haha.

Once I got the job, I remember running out to buy more slacks, work-appropriate tops, and even a dress! About a month into the position, I realized that most people in the office dressed very casual, so it was goodbye slacks, hello jeans! I actually love dressing casual and comfy to work, but I definitely think I could dress nicer, at least a few days out of the week. A few months ago, I decided to wear a corduroy skirt to work, and my boss gave me crap about how nice I was dressed and jokingly wondered if I was heading to an interview on my lunch break. So I haven’t worn a skirt since. 😉 H&M still has a lot of great blazers in many different colors that I’ve linked at the bottom of this post, if you are in need of one! You can also pair a blazer with some denim shorts for a chic Summer look, which I’ve been dying to try.

My striped blouse is also from H&M. It’s work-appropriate, and can easily be worn with jeans, slacks, or a skirt. I have so many similar tops to this one that can easily make your outfit look a little more dressy, and not so casual. Again, H&M has such a huge selection of similar tops for very affordable prices that I would take a look at if you are in need of some new work tops! No this isn’t a sponsored post by the way, I just really love H&M’s office clothing 🙂

My heels and purse are from Target–both less than $40! My bag comes in black now too, (woohoo!) and can fit all your crap in it. It makes for the perfect work bag because it also can also fit your laptop! This outfit doesn’t only have to be for work though. You can easily wear this out to dinner if you’re going for a more professional, yet stylish look! Maybe great for meeting the boyfriends parents for the first time?! hehe.

Love this look! Still partially casual, but chic! I had gotten my blazer from H&M too! haha, and just like you, it’s been in my closet for quite some time now (although I don’t have an office job that I can easily throw it on for, in the past I’ve resorted to it when going for a certain look on a night out!). Gotta love H&M’s affordable but cute clothing! and Tar-jay as I like to call it, is always a must! keep the looks coming girl!
