I think this was the first weekend that I actually hoped would go by quick so this upcoming week would finally be here…why you ask? I’m going on a trip this week and I am beyond excited! One of my New Year’s resolutions was to travel this year, and this year, I will definitely be keeping that resolution. Probably the only one 😉 Hehe, just kidding. I’ll let you know on Thursday where I’m going, so make sure you follow me on Instagram (@jordynlarkins). I definitely want recommendations from you guys for when I’m there! This city I have wanted to go to since I was in elementary school, and after 15 years, I finally made it happen. Better late than never!
Like the title says…I’m on a huge sneaker kick right now, no pun intended 😉 When I was trying to plan my outfits for my trip, I realized I was going to have to be wearing sneakers everyday because of all of the walking that I will be doing. I had been wanting to buy a pair of Vans for a while now, but just wasn’t sure which style. These were my top pick because they will go with any color I’m wearing, and will make any outfit look a little more casual and not so try-hard haha. I bought these at the outlets in Carlsbad (highly recommend going there if you live in the OC or SD area). They have a good deal at the Vans store where you buy one pair and get one half off! The other pair I bought is the old school checkerboard ones. They are so fun!
This off the shoulder top I bought at Nordstrom a few weeks ago and it also comes in a pretty navy and grey/green color! It’s less than $30 and can be worn casually or more dressed up with wedges or heels. I really love the grey/greenish color that it comes in, but they didn’t have my size though when I had bought it in store 🙁 My favorite part about this top though, is that the sleeves are separate from the top itself. So when you lift your arms up, your entire top won’t come up. This seems to be a major issue with a lot of the OTS tops that I own. Who wants to be putting their arms in the air like they just don’t care, with their entire stomach showing from their top all hiked up, not meee! So moral of the story, this top is a goodie!
I bought these new step hem jeans the other day from the BP section of Nordstrom. The brand is actually BP/Nordstrom as well. I love the color of this denim, and of course that they are distressed. Step hem jeans are gaining popularity lately, where the hem is longer in the back, then in the front. Not sure where it came from, but I’ve seen it more and more lately. These “step hem” jeans were less than $60 and are a little stretchy as well. They look super good with sneakers, and are perfect for those of us who are shorter and hate when our jeans bunch up at the bottom. Such a pet peeve of mine!
Hope everyone had a great Easter and weekend. The weather was absolutely beautiful here in the OC. I was finally able to lay out this weekend at the pool, and it seriously felt like summer 🙂
