I stepped out of the box and bought a dress! And not just a dress, a maxi dress. I’m super proud of myself hehe. I told myself I needed to switch up my wardrobe up a little bit, basically just not wear denim all the time. With Valentines Day just around the corner, I thought how cute this dress would be for a night out with your lover or your girlfriends. Red and bright pink aren’t colors I would ever normal wear, so this type of print would be more my speed. I never though I would be able to wear maxi dresses because I am more on the shorter side, (5’4) but I was totally wrong, and wish I wouldn’t have waited so long to finally try one on. Tip: If you don’t think you’re going to look good in a certain style, try it on still! You may surprise yourself.
I bought this maxi at a boutique in Orange County called Callie Girl. I have been following them on Instagram for a while, but finally stopped in to check it out this past weekend. I saw this dress and knew I wouldn’t have anywhere to wear it, but once I tried it on, I said screw it, and impulsively bought it. Hey, I’m sure I can find somewhere to wear this dress…eventually 😉 Since this boutique doesn’t have an online store, I linked a few similar dresses from Forever 21 all at amazing prices! It’s such a bummer that all the pieces Forever 21 has online, are never in the actual store. Anyone else realize that? The good news though is that they changed their return policy and you can now return for full credit within 30 days. Best news ever! My nude booties went perfectly with this dress, but wedges or heels would also dress it up a little bit more if you’re going to a wedding or a fancier event!
Here’s to hoping the week flies by. Everybodyssss working for the weekendddd. I always think of that song when I’m constantly counting the days until Friday. Gotta love the 80’s music 🙂
