Long Sleeve Knit: H&M (similar here) | Skirt: Brandy Melville | Boots: INC (similar here, here, here) | Purse: Rebecca Minkoff | Choker: Everything & Nice Bebe | Watch: Nixon

I finally got my first pair of OTK (over the knee) boots! I’ve been wanting a pair for months but wasn’t sure the color/type of heel/brand, etc. I ended up walking into Macy’s and finding these boots for under $100 and knew I had to buy them. I decided on more of a flat heel because I felt that I would use them more. Don’t get me wrong, I love anything with a high heel, but I knew if I got one, there was no way I would be able to wear them to work haha. These INC boots are super comfortable and go just a little bit over the knee. They can go with anything from, skirts, dresses, jeans and even shorts. These boots add a little more umph to your outfit without having to try too hard hehe.

I paired these OTK boots with a black corduroy skirt (it’s the same one that I have in blush) and a long-sleeve knit that I got years ago. I decided to get this skirt in black because c’mon, black is my favorite color. So when I saw it at Nordstrom, I generally had to snag it. This skirt can be worn with just about any type of shoes, whether you want to dress it up with some booties, or dress it down with some sneakers. You know me, I love versatile pieces. This knit I bought such a long time ago, but I linked a similar one above. This outfit could easily be paired with a cute trench coat or fur vest, but I thought I would keep it more on the simple side.

Changing subjects here, but does anyone else ever feel like they are in a rut? That you wake up and do the same exact thing day after day? I have been feeling this way for a while now and feel the need to switch things up. It’s inevitable that I have to go to work everyday (thank you student loans and bills) but maybe starting a workout class at night, or taking day trips on weekends would be just enough change to get me out of my so-called “rut.” If anyone has any tips, leave it in the comments below 🙂 I think what stops me from planning an activity is finding someone to do it with, but hey, at this age, maybe there is no shame in taking a trip by yourself, right?! 😉

Enjoy your week guys!
