January 9, 2017

Ah, New Year’s resolutions. I’ve never been one for resolutions, but this year I actually have some that I intend to keep. I think having resolutions or goals for yourself is important. They keep you accountable throughout the entire year, and push you towards being a better version of yourself. No one is perfect, but there is always room for improvement 🙂 Here are my resolutions/goals for 2017:

-Learn to Bake/Cook: Like I have talked about in a few of my posts, I really want to cook and bake more. I think anyone can learn how to, it’s just actually going into the kitchen and doing it. With the goal of cooking more, I also want to put more of an emphasis this year on eating healthier. I have an unhealthy obsession with Mexican food, and I need some more veggies and protein in my life haha.

-Be More Active: I never workout. There I said it. It’s not so much that I need to workout, but exercising is important and a great stress reliever. I have read so many articles about how important it is to get into a workout regimen while you’re in your 20’s because the older you get, the harder it is to lose weight if you need to. So I really want to make an effort this year to find an activity that I enjoy while breaking a sweat.

-Be More Positive: This should really be my #1!

-Stop Overthinking: I am such an over thinker. I get this from my mother, THANKS Mom. I overthink about the littlest of things and it causes me lots of unneeded stress.

-Travel: I have always wanted to travel! I want to make it a point to at least go on one vacation this year to a place I have never been. I want to take full advantage of the time I have in my early 20’s where I can do the things I want to do before I settle down.

-Be A More Consistent Blogger: Since starting my blog 4 months ago, I haven’t been as consistent as I would like to be. Even though I work full-time, I want to start writing at least two posts a week and branching out on some more new topics.

-Trust In Gods Timing: There are so many situations in life that leave you wondering, why? This year I want to make it a point to trust that God has a plan and that everything is going to work out how it’s  supposed to. I need to trust that he puts the right or wrong people in your life for a reason, and that my special someone is going to pop into my life when I least expect it (lets hope, ha!).

-Don’t Settle: No explanation needed 🙂

What are some of your New Year’s resolutions? I would love to hear them!
