Happy FriYAY! Can you believe it’s already November?! The holidays are already right around the corner. Does anyone else who hasn’t been out of college for too long find yourself looking forward to “winter break,” but then you realize that you’re not in college anymore and that there are no breaks when you have a “big girl job.” This has been happening to me lately, “Oh I’ll have time to do it over winter break,” or, “I can’t wait to catch up on some sleep during break.” Yeah, right. No breaks, at least for now. Well after that little rant, lets talk about what I’m wearing! How cute is this olive-green sweater? If you can’t tell from my last post, it’s my current favorite fall color. It’s just not a color you can pull off during the spring and summer. So I am going to take full advantage of wearing this color as much as possible until I get sick of it.
So if you saw my Instagram post from earlier this week then you will know the story behind these boots. I got these back in college and wore them a lot to class, but I am such a bootie girl that beyond that, I didn’t wear them very much. I was looking in my closet a few weeks ago and found these hidden in the back. I was like “Hmm do I like them?” Well I decided to wear them to work that day and immediately fell back in love with them. I love the color and especially how the color changes at the front of the boot. I’m sure that’s called something, I just have no idea what it is. Kinda ombre-ish? I will just go with that 🙂
I decided to pair this sweater and boot combo with some white denim. I love that the white gives it such a fresh look, and really makes the boots pop more, compared to if I was wearing dark denim. The sweater and jeans are both from H&M, and under $30. The boots I bought back a few years ago from Dillards, but I linked a few similar ones above. I have seen so many cute outfits pairing these tall boots with dresses, so I really want to try that out.
Well I hope you all have a nice and relaxing weekend. I have been so exhausted this week, I’m going to try and catch up on some much needed sleep, and maybe do a yoga class.
